Coosa Pines FCU to Celebrate 10th Year in Vincent, a Milestone for Members

April 18, 2024

The adage goes, ‘Time flies when you’re having fun.’ This rings especially true for Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union. It seems it was just yesterday that Coosa Pines opened the doors of its Vincent branch, and now they are celebrating a remarkable ten-year journey. Under the exceptional leadership of Branch Manager Kendra Ricks and Assistant Manager Pearlie Shepherd, the dedicated Vincent team has cultivated deep-rooted connections with the City of Vincent and its valued credit union members.

"From the beginning, the unwavering support and positive feedback have been overwhelming," said President/CEO Don Carden, "This is evident by the branch's flawless five-star rating on Google—a testament to our commitment to excellence and the trust placed in us by the community. We’re proud of our Vincent employees for maintaining this standard of service."

He continued, "Behind every successful branch is a dedicated team. Our Vincent staff treat members with warm smiles, personalized service, and a commitment to excellence. They've done more than process transactions. They have shared stories, listened to dreams, and celebrated milestones with members. Their hard work and genuine love for the city have left an indelible mark on Vincent."

Branch Manager Kendra Ricks has also been moved by the warm welcome and ongoing friendship given to the branch by its members. "The City of Vincent and its surrounding areas have embraced us with open arms. From the first day we opened our doors, our members have been more than customers; they've been partners in our journey. Over the last ten years, we've grown together, weathered storms, celebrated victories, and built lasting connections."

Since purchasing the old bank building and opening the city's only financial institution, Coosa Pines has continued to invest in Vincent and the surrounding area. The credit union recently renovated the Vincent Branch's building and added new landscaping. The renovations have allowed the credit union to move Manager Kendra Ricks, Assistant Manager Pearlie Shepherd, and Mortgage Manager Christy Taylor to new offices. A cash recycler was also added to the teller line to help the tellers provide members with faster service. The credit union has pledged to continue serving the Vincent Branch members with integrity, innovation, and excellence over the next ten years, reaffirming its commitment to Shelby County members and the Vincent community.

"Our achievements are not just ours but shared with every member," Ricks said, "and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve them."

"Our commitment remains unchanged—to be more than a financial institution," said Carden. "We aspire to be a trusted partner, an advocate for financial well-being, and a force for positive growth."

The Coosa Pines FCU Vincent branch will host an Open House on Monday, April 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and there will be door prizes and drawings.
