Fake Social Media Pages & Responses 

How to know it’s your credit union on Facebook™ or Instagram™: 

1. Our name on Facebook will be Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union, @CoosaPinesFederalCU, or on Instagram, @cpfcuyoubelong (no dashes, no missing spaces, no misspellings). 
2. Our Facebook page was created in 2009. 
3. We will notify winners by editing the original prize posting. 
4. We will not send you a friend request. Remember that you follow pages and you friend people. 
5. We will NEVER ask you for personal or financial information through Facebook, Messenger™, or Instagram. 

Please report the fraud. Click on the three little dots ••• by the fake page's comment or reply and report it as spam.  

CPFCU Social Media Sweepstakes Official Rules 

• No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase does not increase the odds of winning. Membership is not required to participate in the prize drawing. The campaign is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. 
• Prize acceptance is limited to eligible persons who are 18 years or older, U.S. residents, and able to receive the prize by mail or pick it up in one of our branch locations, at the credit union’s discretion. By submitting any entry, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and accept the decisions of Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union as final and binding as they relate to the content of this campaign. 
• You may receive up to 1 entry for liking the Coosa Pines Facebook post and up to 1 entry for commenting on each giveaway post. A maximum of 2 entries per social media account per person is allowed. 
• You may receive up to 1 entry for liking the Coosa Pines Instagram post and up to 1 entry for commenting on each giveaway post.  A maximum of 2 entries per social media account per person is allowed. 
• Manual entry will occur upon the Credit Union’s receipt of a written entry on a 3x5 piece of paper setting forth the entrant’s name, address, telephone number, and (if applicable) member/account number. One entry per envelope. 
• No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union. The Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, erroneously delivered, incomplete, or postage-due entries. 
• The promotional period begins and ends as stated in the Coosa Pines social media post(s). On each day of the contest, one item will be posted online and given away the next business day unless otherwise stated. The winner will be chosen by random drawing from all eligible entries using a random name generator. Odds of winning are determined by number of eligible entries received. 
• Employees of the Credit Union and their immediate family members residing in a single household are not eligible. All winners will be notified by the Credit Union. If any prize is unclaimed within 24 hours, an alternate winner may be chosen at the Credit Union’s discretion. 
• Privacy Policy: Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union website. To read the Privacy Policy, click here.  
• To claim the prize, the winner may be asked to sign and return a release and an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release to the Credit Union at 33710 US Hwy 280, Childersburg, AL 35044 within 14 days of notification, or prizes will, at the Credit Union's discretion, be forfeited. 
• The prize will be awarded only if entrants comply with these Official Rules. No cash or other consideration will be paid. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. 
• Any winner, members of any winner’s household, relatives, and persons who use any prize awarded by the Credit Union, and such person’s heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators release and exempt the Credit Union and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, demands, choices in action, and damages which they have now or any time in the future arising from use of any prize, including personal injury or death. 
• By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name and photograph or likeness for advertising and promotional services without compensation. The name (and photograph, as applicable) of the prize winner may be posted in all Credit Union branch locations, published in the Credit Union's newsletter, and included in other informational resources and advertisements such as the Credit Union’s website, digital signage, social media postings, etc. 
• The selection of the winners will be final. 
• Winners are limited to 1 prize per campaign or 30 days, whichever is greater. 
• This is a sweepstakes offered by Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
